The Gym
Sportrock Rio is a 50,000 sq ft. climbing gym located on the top two floors of the flagship space at the Rio Lakefront Shopping Center in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
There is a mix of 60ft rope climbing walls and a huge variety of bouldering areas.
We have over 10 autobelays.
We host nightly yoga and fitness classes FREE for members.

FREE Intro to Climbing
Normally a $45 class!
Introduction to Climbing is the perfect program to give new climbers a little taste of everything the gym has to offer. In this class you will get to boulder, do some roped climbing on our tall walls, as well as receive an auto-belay orientation.
Ages 14+
2 Hours Class.
No experience is required!
Become a Member!
If you sign up at our Grand Opening we will waive your Activation Fee, which means you save $49!
You will also get a FREE Top Rope Belay Class, or L1 Bouldering Class with your membership, along with all the other awesome perks of being a Sportrock Member!

We have a ton of free parking! We recommend you park on the top floor of the parking garage shown below. Once you head into the building, you'll find yourself at our front door!
From the ground level, you can also take the elevator up to the third floor to get to our space.
